notational:

I met a woman at the conference who said she came to it to get inspired. She went on to say “I’m almost 50 and I’ve lived the majority of my life so I figured its time for a change. “ I’m not that far from 50 myself, so this statement kind of caught me off balance.  I’ve spent so much of my life thinking “I’m going to change my life.” ….perhaps to the exclusion sometimes of living it.

Notes to self:
live fully/change gradually = good memories (positive+balanced)
live gradually/change fully = sense of achievement (positive+balanced)
live gradually/change gradually = can feel stagnation (negative+imbalanced)
live fully/change fully = burn out early (negative+imbalanced)

Children learn through play, adults learn through art.

No subject is terrible if the story is true, if the prose is clean and honest, and if it affirms courage and grace under pressure.
